Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an Employee Relations Partner( Contract) to work with the Employee Relations team and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.

  • Location - USA Remote
  • Duration -  12 months

Your Impact

  • Provide strategic guidance to leaders and People Business Partners (PBPs) on sensitive employee relations matters including performance management, misconduct, interpersonal conflicts, leaves and accommodations.
  • Conduct investigations into complex and nuanced employment matters. Partner with PBPs, Legal and other parties to adhere to investigative best practices, reaching the optimal outcomes for our organization and employees.
  • Drive workforce change initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring that communication is effective, risk is mitigated, and that leaders and employees are supported through the process. 
  • Use HR analytics and data to identify trends, diagnose issues and make data-driven recommendations to the leadership team and People team colleagues. 
  • Support internal projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Act as an advocate for equitable and fair treatment; ensure our practices continue to align to our company’s core values: Disrupt. Execute. Inclusion. Collaboration. Integrity.

 

 

Your Experience

 

  • A minimum of five years of employee relations experience gained in either an HRBP or employee relations advisory role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong emotional intelligence, and ability to build trust, rapport and influence across all levels of the company.
  • Experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of sensitive and complex employee relations issues, including performance management, interpersonal manager/employee conflicts or complaints, leaves/accommodations, and behavioral/ conduct issues.
  • Demonstrated experience executing on change management programs, with the ability to set priorities, stay focused, and manage time in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with ability to organize and analyze data, and a passion for using data and insights to make a positive impact on the business. 
  • Strong understanding of employment law, compliance and ER best practice.
  • Track record of effectively coaching leaders to action in sensitive or ambiguous situations.

 

Preferred: 

  • Legal degree 
  • Global employee relations experience
  • Project management experience

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $50/hour to $55/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
