Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

 

  • Requirement: US Citizenship required for FedRAMP support
  • Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid) | 
  • Duration: 12 months

Your Impact

 

As a Data Operations Analyst (Contract), you will execute the data maintenance, monitoring, and resolution needed to directly impact sales velocity, reporting accuracy, and the overall customer experience. You'll manage high-priority escalations, track data changes, and identify trends to drive continuous improvement in our systems and policies.

 

This role reports to the Director, Data Operations and requires extensive partnership across GTM Business Operations, Customer Support, IT, Finance, and other organizations. You ensure our teams have the trusted data foundation required to secure the future. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our most critical GTM data, directly enabling faster sales cycles and accurate business forecasting. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Data Governance & Enrichment: Manage on demand enrichment processes, including the implementation of data quality and hygiene audits and account mapping evaluations.
  • Service Queue Management: Prioritize and handle a high volume of data service requests, ensuring timely, effective resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Data Validation and Research: Execute complex updates to account hierarchies, deduplication, and firmographic data by meticulously researching and analyzing public and third-party data sources.
  • Data Standards Enforcement: Act as a critical enforcer of established data standards and policies, ensuring consistent adherence across teams to maintain peak data integrity.
  • Mass Data Execution: Perform necessary analysis and execute large-scale account updates, deduplication efforts, and complex hierarchy resolutions to drive measurable improvements in data accuracy.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Investigate and manage escalated "corner case" issues, providing thorough root-cause analysis and documentation.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and record trends in data, identifying error rates and interpreting dashboard results to propose and implement process enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with the broader Data Operations Team to document data standards and policies effectively.
  • Analytics & Dashboarding: Maintain and expand project analytics and internal dashboards (Tableau/GSheets) to monitor data integrity and team performance.

 

Your Experience

  • Technical Acumen:
    • Experience with advanced Google Sheets/Spreadsheets is required.
    • Significant experience with Tableau, Big Query, and/or Salesforce.com (SFDC) and related tools (e.g., SOQL, ETL, Salesforce Inspector) is a major advantage.
    • Ability to rapidly learn new tools, platforms, and business processes.

 

  • Mindset & Approach:
    • Strong passion for data accuracy and solving complex data challenges.
    • Highly detail-oriented with proven ability to investigate and validate data integrity.
    • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
    • Business-centric approach with experience collaborating with various functional teams.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English fluency required).
    • Proven ability to manage requestor escalations effectively.
    • Ability to manage stakeholder escalations and partner across IT, Finance, and Sales Operations.

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $50/hour to $55/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K. Magnit is not able to provide assistance to candidates requiring sponsorship or a visa for this position.
