AppSec Associate - Palo Alto Networks [Contract]

Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an AppSec Associate to work on Application Security, doing secure cicd onboarding, scanning automation, etc. This position will report to the Product Security manager and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.

• Location - Santa Clara (HQ) /HYBRID

• Duration -  12 months

This position calls for someone who possesses a good cybersecurity background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Your Impact

• Build and maintain the features for application security

• Collaborate with teams to enhance infosec best practices across the software supply chain.

• Secure CICD onboarding 

• 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer writing software

• Strong Proficiency in Python Scripting or automation

• Experienced and opinionated about Software Security

• Experience regarding SAST and DAST scanning tools

• Experience with Secure CI/CD

• Strong problem solving skills

Requires a relevant bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $75/hour to $80/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K. Magnit is unable to provide any visa sponsorship for this role.
