Paid Media Manager (Contract)

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.
 

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Paid Media Manager Contractor to support our Growth & Media team. 

You'll manage, optimize, and analyze various paid media campaigns, working within an agency model. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of B2B paid media strategies, especially in cybersecurity or enterprise software. You'll have varied responsibilities covering Brand and Demand initiatives spanning multiple Go-To-Markets (GTMs) during this contract period.

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Oversight & Optimization: Oversee paid media campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic display. A deep understanding of these platforms is essential to ensure optimized performance and meet business targets.
  • Daily Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor campaign performance daily using Tableau dashboards and platform data. Identify underperforming areas, diagnose root causes, and propose corrective actions to keep campaigns on track.
  • Agency Collaboration: Work closely with our external paid media agency, providing clear direction and reviewing performance to align campaign execution with our goals. You'll translate business objectives into actionable agency plans.
  • Budget Management: Manage paid media budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation, efficiency, and that every dollar is accounted for and spent within the quarter.
  • Creative Asset Coordination: Collaborate with the Campaigns hub to ensure timely provision of ad placement materials. You'll ensure our centralized CAD in Asana is updated with the correct assets for campaigns to go live.
  • Audience Targeting & A/B Testing: Refine advanced targeting strategies to reach key decision-makers and design/oversee A/B tests on ad creatives and landing pages to continuously improve performance.

Skills

  • 5 years of experience in B2B paid media strategy and management, preferably within cybersecurity or enterprise software.
  • Strong understanding of major paid media platforms (Google, LinkedIn, Demandbase, Reddit) is essential. Your ability to analyze platform data and provide actionable feedback for optimization is critical. Programmatic advertising experience is a plus.
  • Experience in brand awareness, demand generation, and omnichannel strategies is highly valued.Proven experience managing external paid media agencies.

  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and Tableau.
  • Experience with creative asset coordination and management (e.g., Asana).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A self-starter, able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $75/hour to $80/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
